Did you know that most products in the Philippines made of potato came from the municipality of Buguias, Benguet. If a potato or “patatas” came from Buguias shredded into pieces then fried, Would you call it Fries Fries?

Why is it that most Filipinos are saying french fries when they eat at Jollibee or at a local food store(except McDonalds) catering fried potato as their product, instead of calling it “Filipino Fries”, “Potato Fries”, or better yet “Buguias Fries”?
