The scientific name or specie of Pine Trees in Baguio City is “Pinus Kesiya”. It is locally known as “Saleng” and commonly known as Benguet Pine or Luzon Pine. This specie can also be found in India, China, and neighboring South East Asian region.
Contrary to popular belief that it can only grow in high altitude places, Pine Trees can grow anywhere else as long as the humidity and environment are just right.
