Oldest Pine Tree in Baguio City

The oldest pine tree in Baguio was sampled near Mines View Park. It is more than 200 years old according to Dr. William Wright of the Tree Ring Laboratory of the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University in Palasades, New York who conducted standard dating techniques in 2006. The city government declared the veteran tree dead in 2011.

Wood Artists from Benguet transformed this oldest tree into work of Art. Personally visit the place while it is standing. 5 years from now, I am very sure that this dead tree will not be around anymore.
